Welcome to the gateway of the Campus Melaten. The Center of Teaching and Training - CT² of the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University – is a highly flexible educational facility offering multi-functional spaces and dimensions for the training of students, the continuing education of doctors and medical staff, as well as the testing of medical equipment that all takes place under one roof. Located immediately adjacent to the Universitätsklinikum of RWTH Aachen, this modern building has a training centre with a demonstration operating theatre, a multifunctional hall for up to 400 people, learning lounges and seminar and office space. The open and light flooded foyer welcomes you and the participants on the ground floor of the CT2.

In addition to a practical conference counter, the unusually designed staircase leading to the basement awaits you here. During the conference, the foyer on the ground floor, the basement and the stairs will serve as exhibition space, networking area and break area. This is where all participants come together, and you have the opportunity for direct exchange.

It is this hall that lends Aachen’s Town Hall its unique character and distinguishes it from all the other town halls in the realm.
While in the Middle Ages it was the coronation banquets, today it is the International Charlemagne Prize that gives the hall its European significance.
